Experience Meaningful Transformation

Changed People

Here at the Community Praise Church, we believe that the best evidence for the power of the gospel is the evidence of changed lives. Because of that, we have prioritized creating discipleship moments and securing discipleship tools that will assist each person to, “grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with both God and man.”

Change Occurring Through the Study of the Word – Whether through our adult or youth Sabbath School ministry, or our Wednesday evening teaching series, the Community Praise Church provides several teaching opportunities to encounter the power of the Word of God.

Change Occurring in Small Groups – The Community Praise Church offers small group opportunities for both men and women, providing an opportunity for fellowship, community, and most important – biblical transformation to take place.

The Sabbath School ministry serves the entire congregation by engaging members in systematic Bible study in a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere. Sabbath School serves as a primary ministry in advancing Discipleship in the church.

Our CPC Deaconesses contribute significantly to what we do and who we are.  You’ll see them engaged in a number of roles including: assisting with baptismal ceremonies and communion services, visitation of our sick and shut-in, and coordination of some church activities.

According to Acts 6:1-7, the deacon is the chief servant of the church, dedicated to caring for the physical or temporal concerns of the church. These concerns include but are not limited to care for the sick, widows, and poor as well as caring for the church facility and its well-being. In 1 Timothy 3:8-20, Paul shares that deacons are to be, “worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. 9 They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

The primary mission for Duets is to reinforce God’s original purpose for marriage, which is to teach us about His infinite love for us. This ministry encourages couples to focus on Christ through education, inspiration, and fellowship and provides mentoring, couples workshops, date nights, marriage retreats, and much more. We pray that every marriage will be strengthened by the examples of strong, Spirit-filled, Godly marriages found within our church body.  Every fourth Sabbath you are invited to join us in the Honeymoon Suite (Youth Chapel) where you will find support as well as resources on marriage enrichment.

Spiritually charged servant leaders, Elders serve the church body by providing “leadership from the middle”: bible-based guidance, platform presentation, and facilitation of bible studies.  God’s word directs the Elders to share unbiased, spiritually grounded, and wise counsel with members when issues of concern arise.

The Men’s Ministry is designed to disciple and deploys men to live for Christ in their marriages, families, work, church, world and personal lives. The ministry is dedicated to helping men be the godly men God calls them to be. The ministry endeavors to actively pursue men in order to connect them to God, His Word, and other men for the purpose of winning, growing, and training God’s man in Christ.

Our Women’s Ministry exists to connect women to Christ, to women of other ages and stages, and to ministry service, so that together we grow in the faith, knowledge, and love of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to empower and nurture the women of CPC, challenging them to improve their spiritual life and the gift God has given them, as they uplift Christ in Christian service to others.
