Mission

At CPC, we believe that freedom of conscience is a sacred gift from God and a fundamental human right. Our mission is to protect, promote, and educate our community about religious liberty — not just for Adventists, but for every person, everywhere.

  • Support students, workers, families, and military members
  • Equip our church to understand and articulate religious liberty

Freedom of Conscience Matters
Protecting the freedom to believe, to question, and to live according to conviction.

At CPC, we believe that faith must always be free.
Jesus never forced belief—and neither should anyone else.

About Religious Liberty
Why This Matters
Religious liberty begins with a simple truth:
Jesus never forced anyone to believe.
He invited. He taught. He loved.
But He never coerced.
Even when people walked away, He respected their freedom.

Freedom Was Built Into Creation
From the beginning, humanity was created with the ability to choose.
And when Jesus came to redeem he gave everyone the choice of whether to follow him.
Love only has meaning when it is freely given.
Freedom is not a modern idea—it is part of how God designed the world.

What This Means Today
If God does not force belief, then no person, church, or government should either.
Religious liberty protects that principle in everyday life:
  • No one should be forced to believe
  • No one should be punished for their conscience
  • No one should be pressured into faith
Because forced faith isn’t real faith.

What Religious Liberty Is
Religious liberty is:
  • The right to follow your conscience
  • The freedom to worship—or not
  • The ability to live out your beliefs
  • Respect for people who believe differently

What It Is Not
Religious liberty is not:
  • A political weapon
  • Permission to harm others
  • The right to force beliefs on others

Our Mission
We defend freedom of conscience for all people because faith must always be free.
